Our Mission

Our mission is to log locale's and photographs of as many graves and cemeteries as possible within Monroe and Greenbrier Counties.

We are a one-woman team, so progress may be slow, and will take place as weather permits. If you know of a cemetery or graveyard that you would like to see showcased here, please let us know.

JANE, SECOND
WIFE OF
WM. L. DUNCAN
AGE 22

Several published trees have Jane dying in 1859 which would mean, according to her tombstone that she was born ca. 1836. Those same trees list her as Jane Wiseman. However, I have been unable to locate any documentation on this individual. No birth record. No information among the Wiseman families of the area that she is one of theirs, nor a death record.

This single stone is utilizied for all three of William Duncan's wives, and for William Duncan. It is on a knoll directly behind the church building.
