This blog will provide information about cemeteries and graveyards in both Monroe and Greenbrier Counties in West Virginia.

Our Mission

Our mission is to log locale's and photographs of as many graves and cemeteries as possible within Monroe and Greenbrier Counties.

We are a one-woman team, so progress may be slow, and will take place as weather permits. If you know of a cemetery or graveyard that you would like to see showcased here, please let us know.

Proud member of the Graveyard Rabbit Association.

Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and Cemetery

Mount Vernon United Methodist Church
Fort Spring, Greenbrier County, West Virginia

The front of the church as taken from the lower edge of the drive.

A closer view of the front of the church.

Notice the lovely architecture of the windows!

This is one of my favorite views, as seen from the lower "New" cemetery.

A view of the back of the church, as seen standing in the upper, "Old" cemetery.

The upper, "Old" cemetery, which stands directly behind the church.

The lower, or "New" Cemetery, which sits below the front of the church.

I only have a few photos of the stones at this church cemetery, but I will begin posting those tomorrow. Again, it is my sincere hope to begin cataloging, in detail, each the cemeteries I have already posted, as well, as this one, and many more to come!
