David T. Hedrick was born 10 Jan 1846 in Virginia to Moses Hedrick and Elizabeth McVey. He was one of at least nine children born to the couple.

David married Mary E. Fry on 14 Mar 1867 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Mary Elizabeth Fray was born on 12 Jun 1844 to Dominick and Christiana Fry. It is unknown if she had siblings at this time. David and Mary had at least one child: William Alfred Hedrick [1868-1929].

Barbara Elizabeth Shepherd was born on 21 Nov 1854 at Ft Springs, Greenbrier, [West] Virginia to William George Shepherd and Catherine Parkins. She was one of at least eight children born to the couple. She never married. She died 17 Jan 1949.

Martha Jane Shepherd was born 26 Dec 1861 at Ft Springs, Greenbrier, [West] Virginia to William George Shepherd and Catherine Parkins. [She and Barbara and Elizabeth were sisters.] She never married. She died 20 May, 1947.
